TempoMate Privacy Policy

CodeMXM ("we", "us") built TempoMate: Metronome as a privacy-first music practice app. This policy explains what information TempoMate handles when you use the iOS app and this website at trailnest.codemxm.com.
Information We Do Not Collect
By default, TempoMate: Metronome does not require an account and does not collect personal information for analytics or advertising. We do not sell your data.
Information Stored on Your Device
Practice sessions, setlists, teacher rosters, assignments, preferences (BPM, meters, themes, language), and other app data are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage (SwiftData). This data stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it—for example, via CSV/PDF export or the system share sheet.
Microphone (Tuner Only)
If you use the tuner in TempoMate: Metronome, the app requests microphone access. Audio is analyzed on your device to detect pitch. Microphone audio is never uploaded to our servers.
Purchases
TempoMate Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and restore entitlements. When you connect to the network for purchase or restore, RevenueCat may process anonymous purchase-related identifiers as described in RevenueCat's privacy policy. We do not receive your payment card details.
Feedback
If you contact us at hi@codemxm.com, we receive the information you include in your message. The app may optionally attach diagnostic details (app version, device model, iOS version, Pro status) to help us troubleshoot.
Third-Party Analytics
Third-party analytics and crash reporting are disabled by default in TempoMate: Metronome. We do not use advertising networks on the app or this website.
Apple Watch
If you use TempoMate on Apple Watch, metronome state may sync between your iPhone and Watch over Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This communication stays between your devices.
Website Analytics
This website may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand aggregate traffic. No personal practice data from the app is linked to website visits.
Children's Privacy
TempoMate: Metronome is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
